In 2003 the company President enlisted as an Infantryman in the United States Army. During 2004-2005 he served in combat operations in the volatile city of Ar Ramadi, Iraq. It was during his spare time from missions he began to lay a foundation of ideas and plans for Ad Astra Oil Corporation. Mr. Edwards was assigned to a second and final tour in East Baghdad, where he continued to remotely build the company in his spare time. It is through these experiences in the Middle East that he developed a strong passion for domestic energy over foreign sources. It was also a time to realize the great opportunity that is found only in the United States. Through advice and guidance about the industry from a close family friend he turned a plan once on a piece of sandy scratch paper into a legally recognized corporation. This guidance was provided by Mr. Jerry Parry of Oklahoma, and has been extremely influential throughout the process of building the company. Mr. Jerry Parry became the company Vice President and director bringing 38 years of industry experience to the company. Working for major, mid major and small oil companies as well as co-owning his own independent oil company, Mr. Parry brings outstanding professional experience and industry knowledge which is instrumental in company development.
